Upamecano joined Leipzig on a four-and-a-half-year deal from sister membership RB Salzburg in January, and the France under-21 centre-back has began 15 of the membership’s 17 aggressive matches this season.
Spiegel, citing particulars from Soccer Leaks, have reported clause within the defender’s contract allowed him to depart for €100 million.
The membership haven’t denied the report however, chatting with Leipziger Volkszeitung, director Ralf Rangnick stated he hoped Upamecano would keep for a number of extra seasons.
“Launch clause or not, that is secondary,” he stated. “If an enormous membership exhibits him €10m to €12m [in wages] and the participant needs to depart, we would want to sit down down. We do not need to and may’t pay such sums.
“However I’ve the large hope with Dayot that he’ll stay right here for a number of extra years. He, his agent and his mother and father have made good and proper calls till now.”
Requested whether or not there might be a transfer to Actual Madrid or Barcelona within the close to future, Rangnick stated: “He performs for us, and rather well.

In the meantime, Rangnick instructed the paper that Germany worldwide Timo Werner “has no clause” in his contract.
